F@*k You I Wont Buy What You Tell Me!

That’s the message music fans are passing around online aimed at Simon Cowell and his X-mas Factor Christmas Cringefest. Apparently the idea is that to combat the annual Christmas number one coming from manufactured reality shows, music fans are speaking with thier cash and purchasing Rage against the Machine’s ‘Killing in the name of..’ KInd of like a dirty protest. The odds for Rage against the Machine’s ‘Killing in the Name Of’ to get to the Christmas number one spot ahead of X Factor Winner has dropped from 100-1 to 3-1. Tie up your Grannies and turn the radio up.

We are excited! Pearl Jam are coming to Dublin City in the New Year to play the O2 Arena on June 22nd. Tickets went on sale yesterday morning and sold out in a millisecond so any of you lucky enough to have nabbed one should book your accomodation with us now before our comfy beds are all booked up! The fantastic O2 Arena is a gret venue for a show like this and is super easy to get to from The Four Courts Hostel as the luas, Dublin city’s sexy tram, will bring you straight there from Four Courts in about 10 mins.  We have great rates for great beds available for the night so join us, sing loud and enjoy!

At the risk of sounding smug, we’re super awesome and cool and great. Apparently Hostelworld.com customers (that’s you guys) rated us as a “Top Rated Hostel” this year….

Boo-Yah!

Boo-Yah!

After extensive research we have determined that the phrase “Top Rated”, is er… good. So to all you mad nomads who stayed with us this year, we thank you sincerely! Roll on 2010 :)

Hullo again web-landers. Just tuning in to tell you about one of current residents, “Julien the Human Job-Magnet”.

Julien has been in Dublin for two weeks and so far has gotten three jobs!!

Three jobs. No joke. Not a typo.

Unfortunately, Julien, being only one man now has to choose which job would suit him the best (isn’t life cruel?) but in the meantime congratulations are in order. Hence the award…

Here Julien is presented with a “jobbie” (a little statuette made out of cheap material but abundant in sentimental value; it’s just like an Oscar!)

His mother is obviously very proud of him. Not as proud as we are at the Four Courts…

(sniff, that’s our Julien!)

Anyhoo, for all you mad nomads who are thinking about maybe staying in Dublin for a while, and could do with some cash, don’t be shy! Ask at reception if you want some information about getting a job in the city… we’ll point you in juliens direction.

Well done Jules!
