We are located in the middle of Dublin City near Temple Bar, The Guinness Storehouse, Christchurch Cathedral, Jameson Distillery and along the banks of the famous River Liffey. We are directly opposite the ‘ Four Courts ‘, the main law courts of Ireland from which we take our name.
From The Airport
Cheapest way
The 16 Bus is located half way between terminal 1 and terminal 2 exits. From Terminal 1, exit and cross over walking through a building that is a carpark with a few shops. When you come out the other side the 16 bus will be on your right in a middle section. From Terminal 2 exit turning left and walking past the aircoach towards terminal 1.
The bus will drop you on O’Connell street or Dame street whichever you prefer. The journey time is around 40 minutes but can be much longer depending on the traffic as this is just an ordinary bus service and not a special Airport bus so it has a lot of stops. The cost is €2.65 and make sure you have exact change as none is given on the bus.
From O’Connell street you can hop onto the Luas (Tram) and get off at the Four Courts stop. Cross over the river as we are on the other side. Alternatively you can walk from O’Connell street by crossing over the bridge , turning right and walking straight along the river side. Will take 10-15 minutes walking. If you need directions along the way don’t be shy and just ask as someone will always help you in Dublin. You can also check the Dublin Bus website at www.dublinbus.ie
Closest way
The Airlink bus No.747 is a double decker bus (green or yellow usually) which departs directly outside the arrivals hall every 20 minutes. The cost is €6.00 and the journey time is 30 mins approx. It will drop you on Ushers Quay which is just past our Hostel. The stop is normally announced as ‘Ushers Quay for The Four Courts Hostel’. Get off the bus and turn left, walking back by the traffic lights that you just past on the bus. Pass by the lights and pass the pub O’sheas. We are in the middle of the block looking out onto the river. If you have heavy bags this is the way to travel.
Express way - 24hr option(Air Coach directly outside of arrivals)
There is also an express Air Coach (www.aircoach.ie/timetables) that operates 24 hours a day. The Air Coach runs every half hour from 00.00am until 04.30am. From 04.30am until 00.00am there is an Air Coach operating every 15 minutes. There are 2 stops in the City Centre, O'Connell Street and Trinity College, approximately 10-12 minute walk from the hostel.
To return to the airport we have an airport service that cost €7 which leaves directly from the hostel. This can be booked at reception or in advance via email through our management team.
Easy way - Taxis
Taxis from the airport cost around €25-€30 and take around 25 minutes off peak and 40 minutes in rush hour traffic. It's good value for 4 persons travelling together. Please note there is no excuse for the regular car taxi costing more than €30 unless you get stuck in a long traffic jam. Take the drivers details and company details and report him if overcharged.
We have an agreement with a Taxi company for a rate of €22.00 FROM our hostel back to the airport. Ask to the Staff at the reception staff to book it.
